The Caldecott Dental 'Tree'

Caldecott Dental Practice has proudly served the Rugby community for over 20 years. Originally known as North Street Dental Practice at 34 North Street, we expanded in 2014 and moved to our current home at 44 Regent Place. With decades of experience and a continued commitment to patient care, we remain one of Rugby’s long-established and trusted dental practices.

What We Provide

At Caldecott Dental, we provide a full range of NHS and private dental treatments. Our practice is located on the ground floor, ensuring easy access for all patients.

We offer comprehensive care across all major dental disciplines, including general and restorative dentistry, paediatric treatments, and cosmetic procedures.

In addition, we provide a range of in-house private services such as dental implants, short-term orthodontics, and custom anti-snoring devices.

Meet Our Team

Sam Ernest

Sam is our Business Manager & Practice Owner. His role at Caldecott Dental Practice is to help the business run smoothly and efficiently. Sam has had previous experience as a lawyer in South India and is also working as a health professional in a hospital setting.


Sam is committed and passionate about his work and is driven forward to further improving the success of the practice from managing the administrative functions, financial and overseeing the staff.


Sam volunteers his free time in setting up activities for his local church community and spending time cherishing moments with his children and family.

Sandra Holmes

Sandra has worked as a dental nurse and Practice Manager since 1997. She is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring that we consistently meet the highest standards of quality and care. In addition to her role as Practice Manager, she also supports the reception team.


Sandra really enjoys her job because of its variety - no two days are ever the same, and she is always ready for a challenge.


Outside of work, Sandra loves spending time with her family. She and her husband have two grown-up children and two grandchildren, who keep them happily busy. She enjoys gardening, going on holiday, and relaxing with a book.

Eby Chacko

Eby qualified in 2001 from India and, in 2003, got his GDC registration after completing his international qualifying examinations. He has been fortunate to collaborate with skilled oral surgeons across India and the UK. He has had the incredible opportunity to travel and work simultaneously in various locations, particularly where dental needs were more pronounced. This experience has significantly enhanced his ability to connect with people. Eby's areas of special interest are implantology, crowns, bridges, and the rehabilitation of worn-down teeth.


Eby is currently serving as an educational supervisor for foundation dentists who have recently graduated from dental school in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.


In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his children and, if he happens to have a free Sunday, he loves to ride through the picturesque countryside of Shropshire on his Triumph Bonneville.

Dr Dahlia El Chafei

Upon graduating in 1995 from Alexandria University in Egypt, Dahlia worked in both Germany and Egypt. She then relocated to the UK practising in Rugby, Stoke-on-Trent and Coventry. Dahlia holds higher qualifications, including a Master's degree from Alexandria University, Egypt and a Doctor Degree in Dentistry from the Restorative Department, Erlangen University, Germany. She also holds the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS Diploma).


Dahlia enjoys working with nervous patients to put them at ease. She likes to ensure a good rapport with all her patients and hopes to develop a long-lasting mutual trust. Her passion lies in giving confidence to her patients through smile makeovers that include whitening, veneers and using the Invisalign system to move teeth.

Dr Karolina Maluga-Siek

Dr Karolina Maluga-Siek qualified from medical university in Poland in 2001. She came to join our practice in 2006. Karolina enjoys all aspects of dentistry, particularly in surgical treatment and implantology. Her professional development is very important to her. She has gained a postgraduate qualification in Oral Surgery and Implant Dentistry.

Dr Elizabeth Tiong

Dr Tiong graduated from Barts and the London School of Dentistry, University of London in 2010. She has undergone Dental Foundation Training (Year 1 in West Midlands Deanery, Year 2 in Oxford Deanery in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery).


Academically and clinically, she holds a Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Edinburgh (MFDS RCSEd) in 2012. She also obtained a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies (DPDS) from the University of Bristol in 2014.


Dr Tiong has completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Sedation and Pain Management from University College London in 2015 and she delivers Intravenous Sedation to help patients who are anxious with dental treatments.


Dr Tiong has a special interest in endodontics (root canal), and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Endodontology from University of Chester (2020), enabling her to perform more complex root canal treatment in primary care dentistry.


She is a provider for Six Month SmilesĀ® (short-term orthodontics treatment) and also a registered Somnowell Practitioner.

Shannon Mahal

Dr Mahal qualified from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University, in 2023. Dr Mahal enjoys the privilege of building relationships with her patients whilst being able to go through their journey with them, whether it be relieving pain, restoring their smile, helping to improve their aesthetic concerns, or the satisfaction of seeing the results before and after.


Outside of work she likes baking, henna, and yoga. She also loves to spend quality time with family and friends on the weekend.

Felicia Tuffield

Felicia has been part of the team here at Caldecott Dental Practice since 2017. She has been nursing since 2014. She has a degree in textile design. In her spare time, she enjoys art and design, travelling and socialising with friends and family, and spending time with her cat.

Susanah Hill

Susannah has been with our team since 2009. She is a qualified dental nurse and has always been a very helpful member of the team. Susannah has got a daughter and works part-time. Outside of work, she likes nothing better than socialising with her family and friends, and playing the piano.

Hollie Holmes

Hollie joined our practice in 2021 as a receptionist. She has now recently qualified as a dental nurse as of February 2024, which she takes great pride in. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry. In her space time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and her cat, Leo.

Annabelle Scott

Annabelle has worked within the healthcare sector for over 10 years in various roles. Her roles have included working in a nursing home, neurological care, community rehabilitation, and within the secured services. Annabelle qualified as a dental nurse in 2024 and recently qualified in radiography in 2025. She loves working within the healthcare sector as she enjoys helping and supporting people.


In her spare time, Annabelle enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoy going on walks with her dog and enjoys movie nights with her partner and two beautiful children.

Naomi Webb

Naomi qualified as a dental nurse in 2020 at Leamington Spa College. Naomi has only recently joined Caldecott Dental Practice and has settled in well. She is a very hard worker who enjoys all aspects of dentistry.


In Naomi's spare time she likes to read books and spend time with her family & friends.

Lettie Morris

Trainee

Lettie is a trainee dental nurse. Her journey into dental nursing began with a passion for helping people and a desire to work in a healthcare environment where every day brings something new. She found dentistry especially appealing because it blends patient care with precision and practical skill.


Lettie enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, she enjoys a variety of hobbies that help her relax, stay creative, and keep a balanced lifestyle.

Jackie

Receptionist

Jackie joined our practice in 2022. She has worked in dentistry for over 40 years, qualifying as a dental nurse in 2001. Jackie is the first face you see when entering the practice and is always happy to welcome you.


In her spare time, she plays badminton and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Ms Coralyn Pickard

Coralyn graduated from Leeds University in 2021 with a degree in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. Before embarking on her degree, she worked as a dental nurse for 25 years. She loves all aspects of her job and particularly enjoys working with children and young adults. Carolyn likes to be able to treat them, encourage them, and make a positive impact on their oral and general health, whilst building a lifelong positive relationship between them and the practice.


Alongside her dental work, she has a passion for carrying out facial aesthetic treatments for our patients. Whether it's wrinkle-reduction treatments or lip enhancements, she is always pleased to assist our patients to make them feel and look their best.


Outside of work, Coralyn loves spending time with her husband, and can often be found walking around the Peak District.

Samantha Deery

Sam worked as a Dental Nurse for 7 years before qualifying as a Dental Hygienist from Cardiff Dental Hospital in 1994. She is very passionate about how good oral hygiene can benefit general health and wellbeing, and takes a lot pride in making patients feel comfortable and at ease when they attend the surgery.

In Sam's spare time, you can find her on long country walks with her husband and her two girls. She also enjoys cycling and baking. Sam loves to cook for her family and socialise with friends.

Anbu Angeline

Dental Therapist

Anbu Angeline is an overseas-qualified dentist and is GDC registered as a dental therapist in the UK. She completed her MSc in Dentistry in 2004 at the University of Birmingham. Driven by her passion for clinical dentistry, Anbu Angeline is committed to expanding her professional expertise and delivering high-quality patient care. She is known for her broad and compassionate outlook on dentistry, always aiming to ensure her patients leave with a confident and satisfied smile.


Outside of work, Anbu enjoys going to the gym, playing badminton, painting, and travelling to new places. She also loves visiting cafes, where she writes poems that reflect her memories and nourish her soul.

Dr A K Afshary

Dr A.K. Afshary qualified as a dentist in Tandlakare, Stockholm  in 1992.

He has worked in Rugby for many years providing all aspects of general dentistry.

In his free time he enjoys going on long walks and socialising with family & Freinds.
